Perks: Volunteers will receive free lunch and snacks as well as a field day offsite.
S3 Teacher Training
K–8 teachers often want to teach STEM and sustainability but frequently face obstacles:
They’re asked to teach outside their specialty (e.g., elementary ed majors teaching life science).
Tech and tools change fast, and training rarely keeps pace.
Big topics can feel hard to make local, kid-friendly, and classroom-ready.
Sustainable STEM By-the-Sea allows teachers to engage in hands-on field-based learning. Work side-by-side with USM and MSU educators to learn the S3 curriculum and earn free CEUs volunteering at our S3 camps.
Bonus: We cover the CEUs.
